Cantex Continuing Care is a network of skilled nursing facilities, rehabilitation centers, home health agencies, hospice providers and an assisted living facility located throughout Texas and Louisiana. In business since 1978, Cantex provides services encompassing the care journey from short-term transitional care to end-of-life support.

Cantex receives a high volume of referrals from hospitals through AIDA but lacked the ability to track and analyze its referral metrics in an effective manner. Furthermore, hospitals measure post-acute providers like Cantex on their performance in responding to referrals and Cantex had no way to benchmark itself relative to the performance of its competitors.

In September 2023, Cantex began subscribing to AIDA referral analytics for its skilled nursing facilities which receive the highest volume of referrals. AIDA trained leaders from each location on how to track key metrics such as referral open times, accept times and book times, as well as win rates and conversion rates. Cantex senior management participated in each training session to reinforce the importance of executing on each metric. Subsequent to the training sessions, Cantex management regularly reviewed the performance of each location on its referral metrics, holding the leadership team of each location accountable to hitting its goals for each benchmark.

Results and Impact

To measure the results of using the AIDA referral analytics, Cantex compared its performance on key metrics during the six-month period after they began using the analytics (Sep 2023 – Feb 2024) to the previous six-month period. Cantex achieved the following results:
⦁ 22% increase in number of referrals received
⦁ 70% improvement in average time to open referrals
⦁ 38% improvement in average time to accept referrals
⦁ Most importantly, Cantex achieved a 25% increase in admissions during the time they were using AIDA referral analytics, resulting in a significant increase in revenue.
